#Gov. Whitmer’s ‘kidnappers’ planned to zap her with a Taser: feds

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer’s accused would-be kidnappers planned to subdue her with a heart-jolting, 800,000-volt Taser, the Detroit News writes, citing newly released evidence in the case.

The fed’s cache of evidence includes video of Adam Fox, 37 — the accused ringleader of the self-appointed anti-government extremist militia — as he practices loading a long gun, the Fox News affilliate in west Michigan also reports.

It also includes text messages exchanged among the accused conspirators, who called their chat group “F— Around and Find Out.”

In one message released by federal prosecutors on Friday, suspect Ty Garbin, 25, allegedly suggests blowing up a bridge near Whitmer’s vacation home, in order to slow down the cops responding to Whitmer’s abduction.

“Laying in bed, craziest idea. Have one person go to her house,” accused plotter Daniel Harris, 23, allegedly spitballs as the group talks strategy in another text.

“Knock on the door and when she answers it just cap her,” the text continues.

The 14 men apprehended in the alleged plot hoped to retaliate against Whitmer due to her “uncontrolled power” over residents’ lives during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
