Google has confirmed it is investigating indexing issues within Google Search.
Google is currently having delayed indexing issues within Google Search. Google said this is affecting a “small number of sites.”
What Google wrote. Google posted the issue on its search status dashboard saying:
“Google is investigating reports about delayed indexing in Google Search that’s affecting a small number of sites. We’re working on identifying the root cause. Next update will be within 12 hours.”
More details. It is always hard to tell if Google is having issues on its end with indexing or if it is an issue on the website owner’s site. There are always complaints of indexing issues in the Google Webmaster Help forums – and there is no shortage of those complaints in the past 24-hours in the forums.
But when you search for content on some large publishers and filter to see content in the past hour, that is where you see Google having indexing issues.

Why we care. If you are noticing that your content is not being indexed at its normal indexing speed, it might be related to this bug. Google is aware of the issue and is working on resolving it.
