#Good riddance to Andy King and his bogus ‘racism’ defense

Charging “racism” is the last defense of at least one scoundrel: That’s what City Councilman Andy King charged as the council voted 48-2 Monday to expel him for repeated sexual harassment and ill treatment of staffers.

Never mind that his accusers/victims were overwhelmingly black women, nor that the council is majority non-white.

The Ethics Committee also found he had taken a $2,000 kickback after giving a staff member a bonus and failed to pay a $15,000 fine imposed last year after a prior ethics investigation (he’s undergone three). In the #MeToo era, King was too much of a toxic presence for Speaker Corey Johnson & Co.

The Bronx Democrat only looks the fool as he tries to wrap himself in his blackness, making a mockery of the claims by true victims of bigotry.

Council staff inform us that “appropriate authorities” have been informed of King’s possible crimes. We doubt the “racism” defense will help him there, either.
