God of War Ragnarok sold 5.1 million copies in its first week (five days) of release, making it the fastest-selling first-party launch game in PlayStation history, publisher Sony Interactive Entertainment and developer Santa Monica Studio announced.
God of War Ragnarok launched for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on November 9.
For comparison, God of War (2018) sold 3.1 million copies in the first three days following its launch for PlayStation 4 on April 20, 2018.
