“#GKIDS Acquires NEON GENESIS EVANGELION Home Video & Movie Rights in North America”
GKIDS Films announced that it has acquired the North American home video and theatrical rights to NEON GENESIS EVANGELION. The acqusition includes the original twenty-six episode television series, NEON GENESIS EVANGELION, as well as the films EVANGELION: DEATH (TRUE)2 and THE END OF EVANGELION.
The home video and digital release is slated for 2021. This will be the first blu-ray release in the region.
The original twenty-six episode anime series was released in 1995, directed by Hideaki Anno.
Netflix acquired the international streaming rights to NEON GENESIS EVANGELION in 2019.
