The publisher KAZÉ announced today that the boys love anime “Given” will be released on disc!

As KAZÉ announced in today’s newsletter, the Boys Love series “Given” will be released on disc in this country. The twelve-part anime is expected to start End of 2021 come on the market. Further details about the release, such as the number of volumes, are not yet known.

The anime “Given” is an adaptation of the manga series of the same name by Natsuki Kizu, which has been released in Japan since 2013. The series was created in the studio in 2019 Lerche (including “Assassination Classroom”) directed by Hikaru Yamaguchi. The complete series is available in Germany with German subtitles at Crunchyroll.

A sequel film also premiered in Japan last year. This will also appear on Crunchyroll next month.

Over time, Ritsuka, who plays guitar in an instrumental band, has lost his passion for music more and more. Still, he can’t help but help when he finds Mafuyu sleeping on a staircase at school, clutching a guitar with broken strings: He’s fixing his guitar for him. But he flatly refuses Mafuyu’s request to teach him to play the guitar. Mafuyu, however, does not give up and follows Ritsuka when he meets with his band in the studio. And then Ritsuka and his bandmates discover that Mafuyu shouldn’t play the guitar, but rather has a completely different talent: an incomparable voice! However, Mafuyu struggles with the lyrics. He doesn’t know how to express himself and his hidden feelings. He hides them behind a cheerful facade and they seem to have something to do with the former owner of his guitar …
Now Ritsuka is the one who doesn’t let up: he tries to get Mafuyu to express his feelings through the music while he falls in love with the new band member …
