Hideaki Sorachi's manga opus Gintama has run its course, but just like the final chapters not letting go, the anime continues on in Gintama THE FINAL anime film, which is scheduled to be released in Japanese theaters on January 8, 2021. Before the best film since Parasite hits Japanese cinemas, character sheets for the main cast was released on September 15, showing us what Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Kagura will look like in the upcoming film.

Furthermore, an election is currently being held on the official website and Twitter account for the film to find which is the best episode from the Gintama anime series, including the animated films. To enter, one must be following the Japanese Twitter account, and then make the selection on the official website. The results will be announced on October 23 with the top 25 episodes getting special in-theater goods.
