#Giants’ Dave DeGuglielmo tests positive for COVID-19

The Giants will have their third different offensive line coach for a game day.

Dave DeGuglielmo tested positive for COVID-19 and was immediately isolated, the team announced Friday morning. He will not be eligible to coach Sunday against the Cowboys and could also miss a playoff game next weekend if the Giants sneak in.

Two unidentified potential close contacts also are in isolation. Head coach Joe Judge said the close contacts are not players.

‘We are currently working with the league’s chief medical officer,” the Giants said in a statement. ‘Quest Diagnostics Training Center remains open, and the team is following its normal practice and meeting schedule today.”

DeGuglielmo replaced the fired Marc Colombo in Week 11. Assistant offensive line coach Ben Wilkerson — who worked under Colombo and DeGuglielmo — will take DeGuglielmo’s place on Sunday, Judge said.

Giants offensive coordinator Jason Garrett recently returned after an absence caused by a positive COVID-19 test.
