[SPOILER ALERT] Genshin Impact introduced a new playable Electro character called Raiden Shotgun. She is basically the Electro Archon who belongs from Inazuma and she is also the vessel of Baal. During the 2.1 trailers, it was revealed that her name is supposedly Ei.

Raiden Ei has the ability to control a puppet when meditating inside the Plane of Euthymia. She adorns the current form of the vessel Beelzebul, who is also the present Electro Archon of Inazuma. The official website of Genshin Impact describes Raiden Shotgun as:

“The Raiden Shogun is the awesome and terrible power of thunder incarnate, the exalted ruler of the Inazuma Shogunate. With the might of lightning at her disposal, she commits herself to the solitary pursuit of eternity.”

Raiden Shotgun is revered by the people of Inazuma and she has respectable conduct. She is a firm believer of ‘eternity’ which she regards as the place where everything is kept the same way, static. She takes two forms – Raiden Ei (which is her actual identity) and other form is Shotgun which is the puppet that Ei has made to be the “ruler of Inazuma in her stead while she meditates in the Plane of Euthymia”.

Ei’s Backstory

The character of Raiden Shotgun has bulked up with immense power in terms of both plays as well as lore. She “wields polearm weapons and utilizes the power of Electro to deal swift death to her enemies, and plays as a sort of burst DPS and support mix.”

Her entire kit consists and revolves mostly around Elemental Burst, and does not solely just depend on her own but those of her teammates as well.
As such, when nearby teammates make use of their power, Raiden Shotgun will gain charges of her own to launch a potent attack. Besides this, she can also make deadly and devastating combos of the same.
While Raiden Shotgun is a Goddess, she too has a few shortcomings. At the end of this trailer, few hints have been dropped “at these fatal errors that this Archon has made” and also it gives a clear indication that the Traveler will end up getting caught up in many things, because of such errors.
