Gawr Gura and Murasaki Shion of hololive have released a cover of Yuka Igushi’s Platinum Disco, the second of their Monogatari themed covers. The illustrations draw inspiration from dance in the visual sequence, which was part of Tsukihi Araragi’s arc from Nisemonogatari.

Illustrations by Chyoke were compiled by Yunarun into the music video. Razu Nekono provided the arrangement for the track which was mixed by Gozu. The cover debuted on Shion’s channel.

Despite facing difficulties with YouTube’s content algorithm, the cover was released close to its original schedule. The duo also covered Kana Hanazawa’s Renai Circulation from Nadeko Sengoku’s arc of Bakemonogatari

Gawr Gura is an English speaking Virtual YouTuber and part of hololive English. Hololive English -Myth-, of which Gura is a part of, debuted in September, 2020 and featured Mori Calliope, Takanashi Kiara, Watson Amelia, and Ninomae Ina’nis. She is currently the most subscribed-to VTuber in the world with over 3.9 million subscribers on YouTube. She overtook the former most subscribed VTuber, Kizuna Ai, in 2021.

Murasaki Shion is a Japanese Virtual Youtuber associated with hololive. She debuted in August 2018 as part of the branch’s second generation of VTubers alongside Nakiri Ayame, Minato Aqua Oozaru Subaru, and Yuzuki Choco.

hololive Production is a Japanese virtual YouTuber agency owned by Japanese tech entertainment company Cover Corporation. As of June 2022, the agency manages 68 unique talents across the branches hololive, hololive English, hololive Indonesia, and holostars.
