The toddler, Adiel Rosario, was watching the display with his 17-year-old sister inside their apartment building on West 167th Street and Anderson Avenue around 12:10 a.m. Wednesday when a projectile suddenly ripped through the open sixth-floor window, striking him, according to cops and the boy’s family.
Adiel was rushed to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia Hospital for burns to his left arm and stomach. He has since been treated and released.
Police are looking for four or five men in connection to the incident, which was captured in blurry photos and a video.
They were last observed retrieving fireworks from a gray four-door Ford Fusion sedan with Pennsylvania license plates, cops said.
Police initially said one person was in custody with charges pending, but as of Thursday morning no one was being held, cops said.
