#From Audrey Hepburn to John Legend

It’s time for television to shine.

The 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards are set for Sunday, Sept. 19 at Los Angeles’ Microsoft Theater, where the best of the best TV stars will grace the red carpet. Some will be victorious but one might even cement their status as an EGOT winner.

What is an EGOT winner, you ask? The prestigious title is bestowed upon performers who have won specific awards for dipping their toes into the four realms of Hollywood: Emmys (television), Grammys (music), Oscars (film) and Tonys (Broadway).

David Byrne, the 69-year-old Talking Heads frontman, is nominated at this year’s Emmys and is just one award shy from becoming EGOT winner himself. Jennifer Hudson, 40, scored a Daytime Emmy Award earlier this month and just needs a Tony Award to complete her EGOT shelf, which can happen during the 2021 Tonys on Sept. 26.

Here’s a complete list of the only 16 EGOT winners throughout the decades.
