#‘Friday the 13th’ Box Set Coming From Scream Factory

Scream Factory is releasing the Friday the 13th box set to end all Friday the 13th box sets. The 16-set disc is as definitive as you can get, bringing every single Friday the 13th film together in one package complete with new extras, new 4K scans, and more. And yes, before you ask, Jason X, the masterpiece where Jason goes to space and becomes a cyborg, is also included.

There have been Friday the 13th box sets before, but never this impressive. The good folks at Scream Factory will be releasing the Friday the 13th Collection (Deluxe Edition) on October 13. This 16-disc set includes new extras, a new collectible slipcover with newly commissioned art, a new 40-page essay booklet with archival photography, and new 4K transfers for films 1 through 4, with part 3 in its original 3D presentation.

Customers who buy the set via the Shout Factory website will receive an exclusive, limited edition 36″ x 24″ lithograph featuring new artwork from artist Devon Whitehead, and an exclusive, limited edition 24” x 36” Friday the 13th 40th Anniversary poster featuring new artwork from artist Joel Robinson, while supplies last.

I love the Friday the 13th franchise. Even the bd movies – and believe me, there a lot of those – are entertaining, in a trashy sort of way. I’ve had a DVD box set of the films for a while, and I’m excited to upgrade to this. Here’s more info on what’s included.
