#Four-year-old boy, 3 others hurt in Brooklyn apartment fire

A 4-year-old boy was among six people hurt in a fire that raged inside a Brooklyn home early Monday, officials said.

The blaze broke out around 1:15 a.m. on the top floor of a three-story apartment building on Pitkin Avenue near Barbey Street in East New York, according to the FDNY.

Four people, including a 4-year-old boy, two men — ages 18 and 45 — and a 37-year-old woman, were taken to local hospitals, police said.

Their conditions were unclear.

Two firefighters who battled the flames were also hospitalized, according to the FDNY.

The fire was placed under control at 1:40 a.m., and the cause remains under investigation.
