The Seven Deadly Sins: Four Knights Of The Apocalypse will premiere in Japan on October 8 and will run for two consecutive cours. The anime is based on the Kodansha-published manga by Nakaba Suzuki, which is a sequel to Suzuki’s The Seven Deadly Sins (which has itself inspired a multi-season anime series as well as anime movies).

Kodansha USA describes the plot as:

A BRAND-NEW ADVENTURE Percival has always lived with his grandfather on the idyllic, remote God’s Finger. And though Percival loves the simple life, he longs for adventure. That is, until adventure comes knocking at his door, tearing away everything he’s ever known and leaving him alone in the world. Now Percival has no choice but to go out into the world and see what it holds…after all, it’s his destiny! Four Knights of the Apocalypse is a new story in the world of The Seven Deadly Sins, but can be enjoyed totally on its own! Perfect for fantasy fans the world over.

Shou Komura is voicing Percival, while the other cast members include Kikunosuke Toya as Donny, Aino Shimada as Nasiens, Kanna Nakamura as Anne, Kouki Uchiyama as Sin, Toshiyuki Morikawa as Ironside, Rikiya Koyama as Pellegarde, and Sachi Kokuryuu as Arthur. The main staff for the Telecom Animation Film-produced anime includes:

• Director: Maki Kodaira (Pokémon Journeys: The Series [up till Episode 54])

• Series composer: Shigeru Murakoshi (Management of a Novice Alchemist)

• Character designer: Yoichi Takada (Blue Thermal chief animation director)

• Music composer: KOHTA YAMAMOTO (Attack on Titan Final Season co-composer)

The manga began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in January 2021 and has 13 tankoubon volumes published under the Weekly Shonen Magazine label as of August 2023.
