#Watch The Strokes’ awkwardly accept their first Grammy

Well, that was awkward.

The Strokes, who have been in the music biz since 1998, won their first-ever Grammy award Sunday and accepted their career award in over two decades in a cringeworthy exchange.

Host Jhené Aiko announced The Strokes as the winners for Best Rock Album for “The New Abnormal,” as the feed cut to bassist Nikolai Fraiture, drummer Fab Moretti and frontman Julian Casablancas staring blankly into the camera.

However, the livestream timed out and the trio had no clue who won.

“It’s cutting out, who won?” Fraiture asked while looking into the camera silently.

Once they learned they had won, they erupted in cheers.

“Woah! Damn, sorry we couldn’t hear,” Casablancas said as Moretti added: “We won the damn Grammy!”

The Strokes beat out Sturgill Simpson, Fontaines D.C., Michael Kiwanuka and Grace Potter in the category.

“The New Abnormal” is the Strokes’ first studio album in about seven years since 2013’s “Comedown Machine.”
