An alleged flower thief has been snipped by cops in Florida for stealing $4,000 worth of orchids, police said.

Katrina Marie Brady, 34, was arrested and charged Wednesday with several counts of grand theft for swiping the flowers that “residents placed on trees” in the Country Club Prado section of Coral Gables, police said in a report obtained by the Miami Herald.

The colorful orchids were valued at approximately $4,000, police said.

Video posted to Facebook Friday appears to show Brady approaching a home while casually smoking before walking away with one of the striking flowers.

“Help us find who this person is,” a person narrating the July 8 clip says. “This is a disgrace.”

Brady was first spotted on surveillance video plucking the flowers from trees on June 4, police said. She was later caught on video a second time on June 19 in a residential neighborhood that features an oversize grassy median, the Herald reports.

Some residents in Coral Gables reportedly started decorating their homes with orchids about two to three years ago after mosaic artists Ray Corral and Alina Melidena first put the flowers in oak trees lining the area.

“Ray wanted to put in orchids for the good of all the neighbors,” attorney Carl Kafka, who lives across the street from Corral and Melidena, told the newspaper. “They are so beautiful — especially in the pandemic, when we are using our street so often … for someone to do that.”

Corral told WSVN last month that the purple and white flowers were a “big hit,” so much so that they started an “orchid movement” in the neighborhood.

After the first rash of thefts, Corral said it cost $2,000 to replace the stolen flowers. Corral then planted the orchids higher up in trees to prevent further thefts, the couple told WSVN.

“We did it for you,” Meledina told the station. “Why would you take it away from our neighborhood?”
