A Florida security guard found himself on the wrong side of the law on Thursday when he was arrested for impersonating an officer, after trying to pull over a real off-duty officer for speeding.

Omar Forde, who was coming home from his job at the time of the incident, told police he was passed by a swerving vehicle, according to Fox News.

“The gentleman flew past me, and his car danced,” Forde said in released footage from a Casselberry officer’s bodycam. “So I thought he might have been intoxicated.”

Forde attempted to pull alongside the car to tell the off-duty officer, who was later identified as Zachary Prince, to slow down, only to have Prince start flashing his own lights and ask if he was being pulled over.

“Since he’s a policeman himself, he knows about the uniforms and jurisdictions, and he knew it wasn’t a Casselberry or Seminole County or trooper, so he called us right away to get this person stopped and questioned,” Casselberry police Capt. William Nas at a press conference.

Forde was dressed in a vest bearing the name of his security company: “Criminal Task Force,” and was openly carrying a badge, gun and taser.

According to body camera footage of the incident, officers at the scene noted citizens “would mistake this all day for a law enforcement officer.”

Casselberry police have charged Forde with impersonating an officer and driving with a suspended license.

Forde has denied the charges and has since been released on bond.
