#Lil Yachty Slammed For Song Mocking Megan Thee Stallion Shooting
Yachty is a guest on DontKallMeLuxxy’s new single “Sydney,” which dropped on Wednesday (January 17).
“Already made miles at Veneda/ She gon’ think you a trick ’til you treat her/ That n-gga always there, better watch where you step, get treated like Megan Thee Stallion,” DontKallMeLuxxy spits.
Eagled-eyed fans noticed that this is the second time Yachty has contributed to a song accused of making fun of Megan being shot by Tory Lanez.
Last November, Yachty leaped to Drake’s defense after some of Drizzy’s bars on their collab “Circo Loco,” which Yachty co-wrote, were accused of the same thing. Drake rapped, “This bitch lie about getting shots, but she still she a stallion” on the track.
“I’ma clear this line up cuz I know Drake’s not gonna do it,” Yachty said on Instagram Live following the song’s release. “Had nothing to do with Megan. It’s just about women lying about their butt being real when it’s not. And like ‘stallion’ as in ‘she’s still fine.’ Like a stallion! That was it.”
Fans were suspicious of the similarity of the two incidents, and theorized that the lyrics reflected Yachty’s sentiments about Megan, even though he didn’t say them.
“wtf is yachty’s beef with Megan? this is his second time shading her,” wrote one commenter on X (formerly Twitter).
“It’s funny cause lil yachty was the one saying that Drake lyric wasn’t about Megan but here he is again at the scene of the crime,” added a second.
“Lil yachty got something against Megan & idk what it is…this ain’t the first time that weirdo got something with megan in his shit, it’s getting old,” another wrote.
Last year, without mentioning Drake by name, Megan Thee Stallion responded to rappers using her shooting — which she has previously described as “scary” — as fuel for jokes and clout.
“Stop using my shooting for clout bitch ass N-ggas! Since when tf is it cool to joke abt women getting shot !” she snapped. “You n-ggas especially RAP N-GGAS ARE LAME! Ready to boycott bout shoes and clothes but dog pile on a black woman when she say one of y’all homeboys abused her.”
