#Five-member Band JYOCHO Performs Fall 2021 TV Anime Banished from the Heroes’ Party ED Theme

The official website for the five-member Japanese band JYOCHO announced on August 29 that their new song “Minna Onaji” (All the Same) will be featured as the ED theme for the forthcoming TV anime adaptation of Zappon’s fantasy light novel Banished from the Hero’s Party, I Decided to Live a Quiet Life in the Countryside.

The band was launched by the guitarist Daijiro Nakagawa in Kyoto in 2016, and this is their second anime theme song work following “Tagai no Uchu” (TV anime Junji Ito Collection ED) in 2018. The site introduces their new song “Minna Onaji,” written by Daijiro, as “a medium number with an impressive acoustic guitar melody and flute tone.” The song’s release date has not yet been finalized.

Message from Daijiro:

We are pleased to announce that JYOCHO will be performing the ending theme for “Banished from the Heroes’ Party!” When I first received the offer, I had a hunch that I wanted to make it a warm song for everyone. I feel very honored. This song expresses the warmth and connection between people with an acoustic sound design.

In the process of creating this song, I asked myself again, “What do I want to cherish most in life? Even in this day and age, I believe that the headwind is coming from the place you are aiming for. When you are confronting or overcoming something, more difficulties and obstacles will appear in front of you. Today, we are faced with a mountain of challenges and sorrows that we need to overcome today. However, I believe that if we steadily overcome them, we will find a world filled with people who are all the same, a world we have never seen before.

As the ending theme for “Banished from the Heroes’ Party,” I hope it adds a nice touch of kindness and hope at the end. I believe it will be a song that fits the answers of each of you. I hope you will enjoy it.

Makoto Hoshino (Dame×Prince Anime Caravan) is attached to direct, alongside the series composition writer Megumi Shimizu (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!) and the character designer Ruriko Watanabe (Dame×Prince Anime Caravan). Wolfs Bane and Studio Flad co-work on anime production.
