Aniplex announced today that Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel Ⅲ.spring song had earned 1,624,840,400 yen from the 1,002,202 ticket sales by September 19, in 35 days since its release. Its ticket sales surpassed the one million mark four days faster than the second chapter. And the third chapter's cumulative box office gross through day 35 was 110 percent of that of the second chapter.

Following the first chapter I. presage flower in October 2017 and the second chapter II. lost butterfly in January 2019, the third and final chapter of the trilogy anime film project based on the third route of Type-Moon's visual novel Fate/stay night was released in 156 theaters in Japan on August 15, 2020, and has stayed in the overall box office top 10 for five consecutive weeks. And from September 4, 82 theaters have also started its 4DX/MX4D screenings, which offer the advanced motion seating along with wind, mist, fog, lighting, and even smell effects.
