#Fate is Twisted by Time Leap in Tokyo Revengers Live-Action Film Full Trailer

Along with a new poster visual, the official website for the forthcoming live-action film adaptation of Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga has posted a 90-second full trailer introducing its main characters, including the protagonist Takemichi Hanagaki played by Takumi Kitamura.

The clip also features the film’s theme song “Namae wo Yobu yo” (I Call Your Name) provided by the four-member Japanese rock band SUPER BEAVER for the first time. As with the teaser trailer posted in January, this full trailer is again narrated by voice actor Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), who is also a big fan of the manga.

The Tsutomu Hanabusa (Kakegurui, Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! live-action films)-directed film was originally slated for October 9, 2020, but has been postponed to July 9, 2021, due to the COVID-19 pandemic like many other films. 

Meanwhile, the TV anime adaptation of the manga Tokyo Revengers is now streamed on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS. 

Synopsis:

Takemichi Hanagaki is a freelancer that’s reached the absolute pits of despair in his life. He finds out that the only girlfriend he ever had, in middle school, Hinata Tachibana, had been killed by the ruthless Tokyo Manji Gang. The day after hearing about her death, he’s standing on the station platform and ends up being pushed over onto the tracks by a herd of people. He closes his eyes thinking he’s about to die, but when he opens his eyes back up, he somehow had gone back in time 12 years. Now that he’s back living the best days of his life, Takemichi decides to get revenge on his life.
