# Famitsu Sales: 3/29/21 – 4/4/21

Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of March 29, 2021 to April 4, 2021.

Monster Hunter Rise for Switch was the top seller following its debut last week, selling an additional 277,604 retail copies in its second week, reaching 1,579,736 total sales. This is slightly more than Monster Hunter: World for PlayStation 4, which sold 223,274 retail copies in its second week in 2018 to reach 1,573,686 total sales.

On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 135,076 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 20,755 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 1,591 units, and the Xbox Series family sold 159 units. Next-generation consoles continue to face stock issues. Tracking for PlayStation 4 Pro sales also appear to have last week as the hardware is no longer in production in Japan, ending its run at a total of 1,575,723 sales.
