A look at the broadcast networks’ fall 2020 schedule in one place

What’s coming back in the fall and what’s not? It’s a big question for many. Now that all broadcast networks have revealed their plans, it’s time to put the fall 2020 schedule in one place.

We’ll run through what’s on each night across the five main networks. This covers ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, and The CW. We’ll split this up by night, so you can see when your favorite shows are back.

For now this is a tentative plan. The shows haven’t returned to filming yet. In most cases, they wouldn’t return until July anyway. Some parts of the country have started opening up and there’s hope that many TV shows can return to filming by July. However, there’s no guarantee that everything can.

FOX and The CW’s plans shouldn’t change. They both opted for a safer schedule, filled with acquisitions and reruns. CBS was the first to show optimism with a relatively unchanged fall. NBC and then ABC followed suit, although made some strategic changes to try to perform better against the other networks.

Here is the fall 2020 schedule for all broadcast networks by day. THe asterisks mark new shows.

Sundays

For the most part, Sundays are going to look very much like they have done this year. For ABC, it’s mostly a night of unscripted shows, starting with America’s Funniest Home Videos at 7 p.m. and running through with the new Supermarket SweepWho Wants to Be a Millionaire and finishing with the only scripted show of the night on the network, The Rookie.

FOX is managing to air new episodes of its Animation Domination, while CBS is sticking with a TV crime drama lineup for the most part.

The only questionable option on Sundays is Sunday Night Football. NBC has the rights for the games this year, but right now, there’s no guarantee the football season will happen. Hopefully, by the fall, things are in a position to allow the games to take place again.
