On Monday, the fiancée of Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman posted a submission video to Instagram as part of the Sports Illustrated swim search, tossing her name into the ring as a potential model to be featured in the publication’s iconic issue.
“When I was 15, I saw @barrefaeli on the cover of Sports Illustrated and remember being so inspired and dreaming of that being me one day,” Howard captioned her video. “@si_swimsuit is creating a space for women to break stereotypes and it’s a movement I couldn’t be more pumped about ??? I am SO EXCITED to say that this is my official SI Submission Video!”
Howard, who shared a pair of bikini snaps Sunday, also thanked fellow Swimsuit vets Camille Kostek, Ashley Graham, and Haley Kalil, who “inspire” her every day.
“Camille Kostek is one of my biggest inspirations, [editor] MJ [Day], SI, I would really love to meet you guys,” Howard said in the video.
In addition to Kostek — the girlfriend of Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski — and Kalil, who is married to NFL tackle Matt Kalil, fellow WAG Olivia Culpo appeared on the cover of this year’s issue. She is currently dating Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey.
This isn’t the first time Howard has turned — or cracked — necks in recent months. Back in April, she trolled Bregman, 26, by munching down on a hard piece of pasta while asking him to crack her neck.
They have been engaged since January.
