#TRIBE NINE 2nd Trailer Released

A new trailer for upcoming “extreme baseball” anime TRIBE NINE has been released. The anime will premiere on January 10 and will be streamed on Funimation.

The opening and ending song sequences for the show were released earlier this month.

TRIBE NINE takes place in an unspecified point in the 21st century, where disgruntled youths form “Tribes” to find a sense of belonging. When the conflict between Tribes intensify, the Neo Tokyo government decides to restrict Tribe disputes to a baseball-like sport called XB (Extreme Baseball), with the loser having to obey the winner.

The anime’s staff includes Yuu Aoki (Granblue Fantasy The Animation co-creature designer, episode director) as director, Michiko Yokote (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!) as series composer, Rui Komatsuzaki (Akudama Drive) and illustrator Simadoriru (Fate/Grand Order) as original character designers, Yousuke Yabumoto (Duel Masters!!) as character designer, and Masafumi Takada (Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope’s Peak High School) as music composer. LIDENFILMS is the animation production company.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Akira Ishida as Shun Kamiya, Shun Horie as Haru Shirokane, Chiharu Sawashiro as Taiga, Mai Fuchigami as Saori Arisugawa, Mutsumi Tamura as Santaro Mita, Fukushi Ochiai as Manami Daimon, Shōya Chiba as Kazuki Aoyama, Junichi Suwabe as Ojiro Otori, Hiroshi Naka as Tenshin Otori, and Mikako Komatsu as Yui Kamiki.

The anime is part of a multimedia project featuring the involvement of Danganronpa‘s Kazutaka Kodaka. The TRIBE NINE multimedia project includes an action RPG from Akatsuki and TooKyo Games and a webtoon. The game and webtoon do not have release dates yet.
