If you have long been waiting for Big Brother 22 updates, buckle up, because they are slowly surfacing! As we approach the usual premiere date for new seasons, more and more reports and details about the upcoming season are being revealed.

Big Brother was renewed for another season in Sept. 2019, and the crew aimed for a summer 2020 premiere date. However, COVID-19 shook up everyone’s plans and fans have been unsure about the future of the reality series because of it.

Rest assured, CBS confirms that they are confident Big Brother 22 will happen this summer. Even more details have since surfaced that has us all excited.

Big Brother 22 premiere date

Even though Big Brother 22 will happen this summer, a premiere date has not been set. Seasons typically begin in late June, but, at this point, it seems little rush to try and aim for the same for Big Brother 22. This coming season is also very special as it honors its 20th anniversary.

Instead, it seems more realistic to see the new season arrive by mid-July. When do you think we’ll see new episodes?

In an interview with Deadline, CBS Entertainment president Kelly Kahl shares that “[the season] could be a little later than usual, but we’re still optimistic about it.”

Big Brother 22 cast

Julie Chen Moonves is set to return as the host because come on, it wouldn’t be Big Brother without her! But here’s where things get interesting. Being the 20th anniversary and all, it seems CBS wants to do something special and make this an All-Stars season!

On June 7, reports surfaced sharing that we may be looking at Big Brother 22: All-Stars 2! The source shares that the network has been “quietly contacting former players” with interest in them returning for this special season.

No word on which former players, though, but US Weekly believes it could be “several winners and notable alumni.” Are there any cast members you would like to see return?
