“Superhero Manga SHY Receives TV Anime Adaptation”
A television anime adaptation of the superhero manga SHY has been announced to be in production. A teaser visual and PV trailer have also been released to commemorate the announcement.

Voice actress and singer Shino Shimoji will voice the lead heroine Teru Momijiyama/Shy. Masaomi Andou (Rumble Garanndoll) is directing the anime series, with Eight Bit handling the animation production.
Bukimi Miki’s original manga was first serialized in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shounen champion magazine on August 1, 2019. 15 tankoubon volumes have been released as of August 2022, with a 16th volume due for release on October 6, 2022.
Yen Press releases the manga series in English. It describes the first volume as:
Earth was on the brink of a third World War when super-powered individuals came forth from each country around the globe, ending the conflict and ushering in a new era of relative peace. Among those heroes, Japan is represented by a timid young girl known as “Shy.” She may spend more time worrying about her own shortcomings than she does battling villains, but she’ll show the world that despite it all she still has the heart of a hero!
