Four people were shot — one fatally —  as the gun violence in New York City continued to surge overnight before the Labor Day holiday weekend, cops said Friday.

The mayhem started around 6:40 p.m in Long Island City on Borden Avenue near Gantry Plaza State Park where cops found a 25-year-old shot in the stomach, cops said.

First responders rushed the man, whose name was not released, to Cornell University Hospital but he could not be saved.

About three hours later in the Bronx, a 17-year-old was shot in the right leg on Bruner Avenue in Wakefield, according to cops.

He was taken to Jacobi Hospital but was “highly uncooperative” with police, according to the NYPD.

Two other men were shot overnight, one on Rockaway Beach, Queens at 1:35 a.m and another in Greenpoint, Brooklyn around 2:30 a.m., cops said.

The first man, a 31-year-old, was shot in the left arm and hip on Beach 67th St. He was taken to St. John’s Hospital and expected to survive, cops said.

The 27-year-old man in Greenpoint was shot in the butt and taken to Elmhurst General for non-life-threatening injuries.

The violence capped off another day where Gotham saw a surge in gun violence compared to last year. Police recorded five shootings with five victims on Thursday compared to none on the same day in 2019.
