A man on a bank-robbing spree in Upper Manhattan was stopped in his tracks by police on Tuesday, sources and the NYPD said.

The armed suspect tried to hit a bank in East Harlem before sticking-up an Upper East Side Chase on 86th Street and Lexington Avenue at around 2:21 p.m., cops said.

Wearing a ski mask and dark clothes, the bandit flashed a firearm and fled with an unknown amount of money, police said.

He made it about eight blocks, to 79th Street and Third Avenue, before he was nabbed by uniformed cops on the lookout for someone matching his description.

The officers found a firearm and cash on him, they said.

An NYPD spokesman said it’s likely the holdupper was involved in several other bank jobs.

“He’s probably responsible for numerous bank robberies,” the spokesman said.

The suspect, who was taken in for questioning, wasn’t immediately publicly identified.
