#Eight people injured in late night Harlem apartment fire

Eight people suffered minor injuries Friday in a fire that ripped through the third floor of a Harlem apartment building.

There were 106 FDNY personnel on hand to fight the blaze that broke out around 8:30 p.m., according to an FDNY spokesperson.

Large flames could be seen shooting out from the front of the six-story building at 601 West 135th Street before the fire was placed under control about an hour later,  around 9:46 p.m.

The injured were treated at the scene, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
