#Edgerunners Comes to Blu-Ray in North America, Europe & More in 2025

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will be released on Blu-ray in North America, Europe, and several other countries and territories in 2025. 

The following distributors will be releasing the Blu-ray in the specified regions, with more details to come at a later date:

The Japanese edition is already available for pre-order via Aniplex’s Japanese online shop and is expected to be released on May 28, 2025. The standard edition Blu-ray will cost 21,780 (US$141.70) while the limited edition version costs 32,780 (US$213.27), with both including tax. 

Additionally, the bonus items included in the limited edition Japanese Blu-ray includes:

• • Special booklet
• • Episode 10 storyboard book
• • Animation cel style sheet
• • Second anniversary visual poster

Hiroyuki Imaishi (Promare, Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann) served as the director, with Masahiko Otsuka (Promare, Gurren Lagann) as assistant director, and Yoh Yoshinari (BNA: Brand New Animal and Little Witch Academia director) and Yuto Kaneko (BNA: Brand New Animal animation director) as character designers. Trigger is in charge of the animation production and original Cyberpunk game developer CD Projekt is the main production company.  

Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast includes:

The original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was released on Netflix on September 13, 2022 for 10 total episodes. The series won “Anime of the Year” at the seventh Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2023 and “Best Anime Series” at the IGN Awards. It was also a nominee for “Best Adaptation” at the 2002 Game Awards. 

A prequel manga centered on Rebecca and Pilar was also recently launched on Kadokawa’s Comic Alive + this month. 

The anime is inspired by the 2020 open world sci-fi RPG Cyberpunk 2077 from CD Projekt Red, which is in turn set in the world created by Mike Pondsmith for the Cyberpunk tabletop RPG.
