Edens Zero‘s second season‘s premiere month has been revealed by a newly released teaser trailer. The new season will begin in Japan sometime next April.

The returning cast includes Takuma Terashima as Shiki Granbell, Mikako Komatsu as Rebecca Bluegarden, and Rie Kugimiya as Happy, Hiromichi Tezuka as Weisz, Shiori Izawa as Pino, Shiki Aoki as Homura, Taiten Kusunoki as Drakken, and Honoka Inoue as Shaomei.

Edens Zero‘s first season premiered in Japan in April 2021. Netflix released the first 12 episodes in August and the remaining 13 in November.

The anime is an adaptation of the manga by Fairy Tail‘s Hiro Mashima, which began in 2018 and has 22 tankoubon volumes as of August 17, 2022. The manga is serialized in Weekly Shounen Magazine and published under the Kodansha Comics label. A mobile game titled Edens Zero Pocket Galaxy was released in February 2022.

At Granbell Kingdom, an abandoned amusement park, Shiki has lived his entire life among machines. But one day, Rebecca and her cat companion Happy appear at the park’s front gates. Little do these newcomers know that this is the first human contact Granbell has had in a hundred years! As Shiki stumbles his way into making new friends, his former neighbors stir at an opportunity for a robo-rebellion … And when his old homeland becomes too dangerous, Shiki must join Rebecca and Happy on their spaceship and escape into the boundless cosmos.

The main staff of the first season includes Shinji Ishihara (Talentless Nana director) as chief director, the late Yuji Suzuki (Talentless Nana episode director and storyboarder) as director, Mitsutaka Hirota (Rent-A-Girlfriend series composer) as series composer and scriptwriter, and Sako Yurika (The Demon Girl Next Door animation director) as character designer. J.C. Staff produced the show.
