A man on an e-bike threatened a group of uniformed NYPD traffic agents in the Lower East Side on Tuesday — saying he’d kill them if he was armed, police said.
The suspect made the threat at about 2 p.m. near the intersection of Rivington Street and Allen Street to the agents who were seated inside a moving marked NYPD van, according to cops.
“If I had a weapon I would kill you,” the man barked before punching and breaking the van’s side mirror, police said.
Nobody was injured during the incident, authorities said.
The still-at-large suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Allen Street, according to cops.
