#Dwyane Wade’s shock as he learns about Tiger Woods’ crash after golf lesson

Dwyane Wade recalled his shock at waking to the news of Tiger Woods’ near-fatal crash — a day after getting a lesson from the golf legend.

The retired hoops star told NBA on TNT on Tuesday night that he had been “so proud” to post Instagram pics earlier that day of his Monday lesson with “the G.O.A.T,” meaning greatest of all time.

“I took a nap — and woke up to the news,” the 39-year-old ex-basketballer said.

“Just like everybody out there, my thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones,” said Wade, who on Wednesday also tweeted a message with 33 emojis of hands in prayer.

“Because we all were shaken and shook at that moment, not knowing what happened with Tiger,” he said.

“I picked up a golf club, like many in the black community, because of Tiger Woods,” he said, calling Monday’s lesson “an unbelievable opportunity” and “a great day.”

“My prayers go out to him and hopefully a speedy recovery for him,” he said.

“And hopefully get a chance to get back to doing what he loves to do and that’s playing the game of golf, and I’m just grateful that he took the time to teach me a few things about the game yesterday.”

In his emoji-filled tweet Wednesday, Wade told Tiger, “Take your time to heal. I’m looking forward to our next lesson on the greens.”

Tiger had poked fun at the former hoops star’s golfing ability, shaking his head when asked if Wade was “good” on the links in the initial social media posts Tuesday.
