Lakers center Dwight Howard says he, too, was reported to the NBA’s ‘Snitch Hotline.’

The eight-time All-Star revealed on Instagram Live that he was one of several players who were reported to the anonymous tip line – which was created for players within the Orlando bubble to inform the league of anybody violating safety protocols — for not wearing a mask.

“Somebody told on me,” Howard said.

However, Howard hasn’t hidden the fact that he hasn’t been wearing a mask inside the Walt Disney World bubble at all. The 34-year-old has posted several videos in which he’s not wearing a mask.

The NBA’s tip line has reportedly started ringing off the hook in recent days, with several players already receiving warnings. Kings forward Richaun Holmes left the bubble to pick up a food delivery and Heat star Jimmy Butler had security called on him for dribbling a basketball in his room.

A handful of players have spoken out against the tip line. Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who opted out of the 2019-20 restart and is not in the bubble, said he told players not to use “the snitch hotline.” Jazz center Rudy Gobert, the first NBA player to contract the coronavirus, called it “petty.”
