The teaming up of dvsn and Ty Dolla $ign makes a ridiculous amount of sense on paper. Two singular and reliably exciting forces in R&B coming together for new music? That’s something one can easily get excited about, especially given Ty’s proven track record for monster collaborations. Later this year the trio will share a full-length, as-yet-untitled collaborative project on OVO Sound, and today you can hear its lead single “I Believed It,” a song sporting a posthumous verse from Mac Miller. Built around a sample of “(You’re Living) In A Dream World,” a vintage R&B track by The Continental Four, “I Believed You” glistens like falling tears as the three artists lay their broken hearts on the table.
