Duke men’s basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski will coach his last season with the Blue Devils in 2021-22, according to reports from Stadium and ESPN.

Krzyzewski — more commonly known as “coach K” — has led Duke to five national championships and is the winningest coach in men’s college basketball history.

Krzyzewski is the second longest tenured Division I basketball coach.

University officials are expected to name Duke’s associate head coach Jon Scheyer as the coach-in-waiting when Krzyzewski retires. A formal announcement from the University is expected soon, according to reports.
