Drake’s had a busy year. He dropped his collaborative project with PARTYNEXTDOOR $ome $exy $ongs 4 U in February, nearly completed a tour of Australia and New Zealand, and is currently suing his label UMG for defamation. He’s got a lot on his plate! His to-do list also includes a new project: Drake announced that he’s “working on a new album right now” during a stream with craven content ghoul Adin Ross promoting the gambling platform Stake (truly a horrible sentence) But is the music good? “It’s a slap,” says Drake. Later this week, Drake’s legal team will file an amended version of their lawsuit against UMG. They scored a win in court earlier this month when a judge denied the label’s request to stay discovery in the case, granting Drake and his lawyers access to certain documents and to conduct depositions. A date of June 20 has been set to rule on UMG’s motion to dismiss the suit.
