Drake Reveals He's Working On New Album, Addresses Potential Celebrity Boxing Match

Drake is already working on a new album, despite just releasing $ome $exy $ongs 4 U with PARTYNEXTDOOR in February.

The 6 God shared the news on Sunday (April 13) during his latest Stake gambling livestream with Adin Ross, hyping up his next full-length effort as a “slap.”

“Working on a new album right now,” he said, before confirming that it will be a solo project. “It’s a slap.”

Elsewhere during the stream, Drake was asked whether he’d ever step into the ring for a celebrity boxing match, but quickly answered “no” with a dismissive look on his face.

However, he did say that he is open to squabbling up away from the camera and seemed to have an opponent in mind.

After Ross joked, “I know who I want you to fight,” alluding to Kendrick Lamar, Drake replied: “If we’re fighting, we’ll fight at [Hollywood] Hino’s gym or something like that — behind closed garage doors.”

Glasses Malone previously said that Kendrick did actually want to fight Drake.

Appearing on the BagFuel podcast earlier this year and discussing whether Drizzy would be in any danger visiting L.A., Malone said: “The only person who wants to kick Drake’s ass is Dot. Dot really wants to kick his ass.

“That n-gga don’t let [stuff] go. Kendrick, for sure, don’t let nothing go. Shout out to the whole TDE family — them n-ggas hold on to everything. If you say some shit, them n-ggas probably remember what you said to them in fourth grade.”

He added: “Everybody thinks Kendrick is this good kid in the mad city. This n-gga is not that good of a kid! He’s a mean person, bro. There’s a confusion ’cause of the title of that album, but I don’t think people listened to the material.

“This n-gga is funny, he got a thousand jokes. There’s a weird rhetoric that this is some sort of cool guy. Dot is gonna clown you all day. I’ve had to stop this n-gga from fighting on tour buses, all kinds of crazy shit.”

Akademiks also previously claimed that Drake wanted to get into the ring with the Compton rapper.

During one of his Rumble livestreams, the controversial media personality said: “Drake wanna get a squabble. I will bring Drake out to Compton and he gonna whoop on Kendrick.”

Kendrick has yet to respond to the various claims about a fight.
