True Sky is out in May.
Next month, NYC’s AKAI SOLO and Navy Blue will team up for a collaborative project called True Sky. SOLO will handle most of the project’s raps (save for one feature from Navy Blue) while Blue is on the beats. The project’s first single “Incursio Fur” drops today along with a video, streaming above. If you need the inspiration to get outside and just explore your surroundings, AKAI’s trip around New York City — which includes a pizza run, some weed, and lots of rapping on the street corners — will have you lacing up your sneakers. AKAI SOLO shared a brand new EP on 4/20, THE LIGHTWORK EP, which you can hear over at Bandcamp. Navy Blue’s most recent release was the 2020 full-length Song of Sage: Post Panic!.
