#Drake Bets $500K On Israel Adesanya To KO Sean Strickland In UFC Bout

Drizzy took to Instagram on Friday (September 7) to upload a picture of his Stake ticket which says that he bet $500,000 on Middleweight champion Israel Adesanya to win over Sean Strickland in their highly anticipated bout.
If Drizzy were to cash in a winning ticket following the fight — which will take place in Sydney, Australia on Saturday (September 9) — he’ll take home $920,000.

The 6 God is no stranger to placing massive wagers on sporting events. Last month, he placed a huge bet on a fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and former UFC contender Nate Diaz.
According to TMZ, the 6 God made a wager to the tune of $250,000, ahead of the 10-round cruiserweight bout (catchweight of 185 pounds), in favor of Diaz. “Jake is a dog but I can never bet against a Diaz brother that’s just how I was raised,” Drake told the outlet. However, Paul won via unanimous decision over Diaz.
Earlier this year, the “Nice for What” rapper threw his support behind Paul during his fight against Tommy Fury but lost big — $400k — when Paul didn’t deliver. A loss Paul jokingly blamed the rapper for.
“Fuck! This is Drake’s fault! Drake, bro! Why you do this to me! Nah, it’s my fault, but $400,000 is nothing to him,” he said at the time, during a press conference after a reporter brought up the fact that Drake bet six figures on Paul to win and questioned whether the infamous “Drake curse” was at play.
“He’s won a lot of money betting on me before so he’s probably about even now. Sorry, Drake. I’ma get that W in the rematch,” Paul added.
Despite the so-called curse — which claims Drake throwing his support behind any athlete or sports team is the equivalent of the bad luck associated with breaking a mirror — the rapper has cleaned up on many occasions.
In October 2021, Drake backed British boxer Tyson Fury as he closed out his epic boxing trilogy against Deontay Wilder.
“This is a video for the most psycho man that I know,” Drake said in a video clip sent to the heavyweight fighter at the time. “He’s mad in his head but he has the purest heart. Nicest guy. The Gypsy King. Scariest man in boxing. I’m wishing you the best of luck this weekend, brother. I want you to just go out there and continue the legacy. Do what you do. We all love ’cause you’re relentlessly yourself.”
He continued, “So, go out there and get the work done. And afterward, fucking sing your heart or say whatever the fuck you wanna say. But I’ma tell you brother, we’re all so proud of you. We love you, and I appreciate you always staying in contact with me. You know, I appreciate the encouragement, the inspiration. Yeah, man. I’m looking forward to seeing the end result this weekend. Wishing you the best always. I’ll see you on the other side. Fuck ’em.”
Wilder ended up getting knocked out by Tyson Fury in the 11th round to deliver his second straight win against The Bronze Bomber, following his previous victory in February 2020.
