#Journal with Witch Anime Announced
The Ikoku Nikki – Journal with Witch manga is getting a TV anime adaptation. A teaser trailer and visual have been released.
Miyuki Oshiro (Durarara Season 2 assistant director) is directing the show at Shuka. The other main staff include:
Series composition/Script: Kohei Kiyasu (My Home Hero)
Character Design: Kenji Hayama (Go, Go, Loser Rangers! Animation supervisor, Tiger & Bunny co-character designer)
Music: Kensuke Ushio (Tengoku-Daimkayo, Chainsaw Man)
The Ikoku Nikki – Journal with Witch manga is a Shodensha-published title by Tomoko Yamashita. It started running in Feel Young magazine in 2017 and released its 11th and final tankoubon volume in August 2023. The story is about a shy novelist who takes in her 15-year old orphaned niece.
The manga has inspired a 2024 live-action movie adaptation and placed first in the Book of the Year 2023 comic category of KADOKAWA’s Da Vinci magazine ranking.
