A 5-month-old baby boy was grazed in the head — and two other men hurt — during a Chicago shooting this week, according to new reports.

The infant, in addition to two men, 25 and 19, were shot on North Hudson Avenue in the OId Town neighborhood Thursday evening, the city’s police department told WMAQ-TV.

The suspects got out of a vehicle and fired shots toward the victims, authorities said.

The baby suffered a graze wound to the temple and is listed in stable condition at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, according to the report.

During a brief news conference outside the hospital, First Deputy Supt. Eric Carter said the infant is “resting comfortably,” according to The Chicago Sun-Times.

“As you know this [violence] is not normal for anyone,” Carter said. “Whether it’s Chicago or any other city around this country.”

“They are in harm’s way no matter who the intended victim was,” he said. “There’s no regard for anyone’s life, especially that of a child who has yet to even grow up and experience this world. That’s quite tragic.”

Officers were able to track the suspects’ vehicle after receiving a description, according to the reports.

Two men were taken into custody, and two weapons were recovered.

Authorities are probing whether a third suspect was inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting.
