German manufacturing orders declined in June, amid rising producer prices and supply constraints.

Manufacturing orders fell 0.4% on month in adjusted terms, according to data from the German statistics office Destatis published on Thursday.

Economists polled by The Wall Street Journal had expected orders to fall by 0.5%.

Foreign orders in June decreased 1.4% on month, dragging down the headline figure. Orders from non-eurozone countries fell 4.3% on month, while new orders from the eurozone rose 3.4% on month in June. Domestic orders registered a 1.1% increase.

Manufacturing orders fell 9.0% in June on an annual basis, Destatis said.

Destatis also revised the data from the previous month to a 0.2% decline in manufacturing orders in May, instead of a 0.1% increase.

German industrial production data for June is due to be published Friday.
