Can we add Cory Hardrict to the long list of Hollywood husbands cheating on their wives lately??

In case you missed it, he and Tia Mowry — who share 11-year-old son Cree and 4-year-old daughter Cairo — announced they were getting a divorce after 14 years of marriage. The 44-year-old actress shared the unfortunate news on Instagram Tuesday, saying:

“I have always been honest with my fans, and today is no different. I wanted to share that Cory and I have decided to go our separate ways. These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness. We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives.”

Naturally a split after so long had a few folks raising their eyebrows, especially in light of the aforementioned infidelity epidemic!

Although Cory did not address their split at this time, he did share a cryptic message on the ‘gram, saying:

“Acting off of emotions will cost you every time.”

Hmm…

Many people stormed Cory’s latest post promoting season 2 of the series All American: Homecoming on Instagram to speculate on the reason behind their shocking breakup, with some even pointing to the possibility he cheated on Tia! One social media user wrote rather presumptively in the comments section on Tuesday:

“He cheated on her”

Like we said, considering all the cheating scandals that have come out lately, it does not surprise us that someone thought the 42-year-old actor stepped out on the Sister, Sister alum! However, Cory made it clear infidelity did not cause the end of their marriage. He simply responded to the user on Wednesday:

“Lies!”

Well, that’s a clear enough denial!

If cheating didn’t lead to the split, what did? Tia cited the primary reason in her divorce filing as the old catch-all: “irreconcilable differences.” She requested joint custody of their children and asked a judge to terminate spousal support. The Twitches star also mentioned they signed a prenuptial agreement before their wedding in 2018. Notably she did not point to any adultery in her filing.

We’ll see what happens with this divorce. Hopefully, things remain civil between Tia and Cory while they go through the divorce process. Perezcious readers know just how messy these situations can get…
