«Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time» is a spin-off of the popular crime anime «Detective Conan» and ran in the spring season of this year. In April and May, all 6 episodes, each 13 minutes long, were broadcast on Japanese TV and then released on Netflix Japan.

“Detective Conan” fans around the world still have to be patient, because «Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time» will only on July 29, 2022 for the rest of the world at Netflix unlocked. But fans in Japan can already enjoy the series in multiple languages. The German dubbed version of the series was also recently added, which we will report on in more detail.

So did the Berlin company Oxygen Sound Studios produces the German synchro of the spin-off for Netflix, which has been responsible for dubbing the “Detective Conan” films and series since 2018. Dialogue director of the current “Detective Conan” media Karen Lehmann was again responsible for the dubbing direction. The dialogue books, however, are not by her, but by Rita Thiesing, based on a translation by Simone Gisler. With the well-known characters such as Rei Furuya, Azusa Enomoto and Vermouth, continuity was ensured and their well-known actors were cast. However, in the episode previews, the title introductions were not synchronized by Furuya’s voice.
