“#Destiny 2: Leak Suggests a Halo Crossover”

Leaks and rumors for a game as popular as Destiny 2 come as no surprise. With Bungie’s 30th anniversary coming up, a new leak suggests something interesting in store for Destiny 2.
Bungie will commemorate its 30th anniversary by combining Destiny 2 and its prior title, Halo, as per this new revelation. The leak says that Destiny 2’s upcoming content for 2021 would be inspired by Halo and Marathon. Apart from this, it also shares alleged plans for a 30th Anniversary Pack to release on December 21, 2021, for $20.
Alleged Crossover Content
It says that the content will include two returning Destiny 1 maps and 2 new maps alongside a new, gun-only mode called “Hardware”. The fresh content would include a new dungeon, two secret missions inspired by Halo, and an explorable space dubbed “Plains of the Nine” where players will go on a scavenger hunt for strange coins to buy the Gjallarhorn from Xur.
- That aside, several new weapons from Bungie’s previous games would feature in this pack as well. It might include fan-favorite Destiny 1 weapons like Ayesluna hand cannon and Matador 64 shotgun. As well as some new exotic weapons inspired by Halo’s heavy sniper rifle and gravity hammer.
- It also listed other Halo-inspired weapons based on the battle rifle and magnum from Combat Evolved and other weapons inspired by Myth, Marathon, and Pathways Into Darkness.
- According to it, players can also earn are new Halo-inspired armor sets, with Hunters getting ODST-style armor, Spartan-style armor from Halo: Reach for Titans, and an Arbiter-inspired set for Warlocks. Players might also receive a suite of new cosmetics, including ships and sparrows to celebrate Bungie’s history.
Don’t Get Your Hopes Up
- As mentioned above, such leaks and rumors can hype fans a lot but they should not be believed. As detailed as the leak is, it is still not very believable. It could very much be a total hoax and fiction created by some fans.
- Most of such leaks turn out to be false and there is nothing new with that but if it is to be believed, then it does have exciting news for the fans of the game as well as the studio. But our advice to you would be to not get your hopes up.
