Being a de-powered demon lord isn’t easy, and now a devilish set of character settings have been published for The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! (known in Japan as Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai!), an upcoming TV anime adaptation based on the supernatural comedy manga by Wakame Konbu about a formerly powerful demoness who has to get a part-time job to make ends meet. The settings include:

The original The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! manga is serialized in Square Enix’s Monthly Gangan Joker shonen manga magazine. An English language version is also available from Square Enix Manga and Books, who describe the story of the series as follows:

The Great Jahy, the Dark Realm’s second-in-command, cuts a frightening figure, feared and revered by all. But when a run-in with a magical girl results in the destruction of the precious mana crystal, the Dark Realm falls, transporting the newly puny and powerless Jahy to the human world! Unfortunately, plotting the revival of the Dark Realm from a cramped, crumbling one-room apartment is no easy feat when you have rent to pay and a job to keep!

The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! is directed by Mirai Minato and features animation production by SILVER LINK.. The series is scheduled to begin broadcasting in Japan as part of the Asahi Broadcast Corporation / TV Asahi networks’ “ANiMAZiNG!!!” programming block on Saturdays during the 26:00 time slot (actually on Sunday morning at 2:00am JST) beginning on July 31, 2021.
