Even the world’s wealthiest person can’t escape crime in the Big Apple these days.

The deadly double shooting that broke out on a Manhattan street early Friday was within view of billionaire Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ upscale three-story penthouse.

During the shooting, a 19-year-old woman was killed and 21-year-old man was injured across from the 56-year-old CEO’s sprawling $80 million high-rise home at 212 Fifth Ave. — where residents are more accustomed to breathtaking views of Madison Square Park.

Gunfire rang out at around 12:30 a.m. on the normally quiet block of West 26th Street and Fifth Avenue in the Flatiron district, and the shooter then fled the wrong way up Fifth Avenue in a gray Nissan, police said.

The woman, who was struck in the chest, died at Bellevue Hospital, and the man was in stable condition early Friday.

In June 2019, Bezos bought a three-story penthouse and two apartments on the top four floors of the building for $80 million. He later added a three-bedroom unit on the 20th floor for $16 million.

It wasn’t clear if Bezos, who also owns a mansion in Beverly Hills, was home at the time of the shooting.

He is the richest person in the world, with a net worth of more than $125 billion.
